No. 109 (2023): The Uses and Abuses of Artistic Research in Post-Disciplinary Academia

It is already 2023, which means almost four decades since the first doctoral program in the arts was started. Many things have changed, and many have stayed the same. Artistic research is no longer a novelty. Still, many artists and scholars raise their eyebrows when they face the practices and ambitions of artist-researchers.

In this Acta Academiae Artium Vilnensis (AAAV) issue some of the articles are written by scholars and some by artist-researchers from all around the world. As you will see, this collection contains intriguing and thought-provoking articles representing different perspectives on the arts, sciences, research, and many other artistic research-related aspects.
