The article introduces the usage of ceramics in Estonian monu mental art in the postwar modernist era by presenting two examples involving artworks created in 1967 and 1978. Both murals have recently undergone conservation by specialists from the Department of Heritage Protection and Conservation of the Estonian Academy of Arts. In both cases, the conservation teams were able to interview and consult the artists who created the compositions.
