Abstract

The article discusses the cloth-bound and decorated books stored in the Rare Books Department of the Wroblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, and expands on the use of textile depending on the content of the book and its purpose.

Agnė Zemkajutė, Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, Vilnius, LIthuania

Agnė Zemkajutė is a bibliographer at the Rare Books Department of the Wroblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences. Her main fields of interest include 16th–19th-century Christian books printed in Lithuania, books that belonged to the Catholic institutions of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, and incunables in Lithuania. She has developed several exhibitions held at the Wroblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania.
